There are many opportunities for the Seminar's Ambassadors to demonstrate and further the development of leadership skills and potential upon returning to their schools and communities.  Joining the Central Pennsylvania Alumni Association of HOBY presents one such opportunity.

    About the Alumni

The effectiveness of HOBY Seminars is noted in the results of HOBY's most recent evaluation of Leadership Seminars:

• 80% of Ambassadors noted they had a better understanding of the free enterprise, economic, and American political systems.
• 98% said, because of HOBY, they know what steps to take to be a better leader.
• 98% said, because of HOBY, they know why volunteering is important.
• 99% of the Ambassadors reported HOBY encouraged them to think independently.

The evaluation found that HOBY encourages Ambassadors to set goals and that the responsibility for personal growth and leadership development is placed squarely on them.

This website and all of its contents have been reviewed and approved by the Central Pennsylvania Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership Seminar Board of Trustees.  Its purpose is geared towards the recognition of volunteers, creating  general awareness of the HOBY leadership initiatives, and overall promotion of HOBY.  All comments should be directed to the Central PA HOBY Leadership Seminar Webmaster.
